Please help! I had a strange job interview two weeks ago and would like to know if anyone has experienced this?
I went to a job interview a couple of weeks ago with a local government agency. During the interview the only questions I was asked consisted of 'tell us about yourself' and 'why I want to change from counseling to crisis management work?' Everything else in the inteview consisted of the interviewers telling me about the position or telling me how I would fit into the department. In the end they seemed to be selling the company to me and telling me how my experience fits into the job description. This was very unusual but I would like feedback from anyone who has had this type of experience or similar. I was advised that i'd be contacted for a second round interview in about two weeks and am awaiting the call. Oh and I forgot they did ask how soon I could start, which is pretty typical for most job interviews. What can I do at the second round interview to set me apart since I didn't get to provide much information at my first interview?
