Why does my semen shoot so far?

I know it seems like a silly question but I'm curious as to why some men seem to dribble just a little while others like my self project their semen in larger quantities? Other than the clean up involved, I'm certainly not complaining, but the only explanations I've read online are along the lines of "it's just how you are" or "it doesn't matter". Since these answers are coming from men and there's an entire industry based on increasing volume, I'm having trouble buying into that. From what I've gathered from talking to different girlfriends, things such as force and volume really did seem to matter to them concerning their own arousal but that still doesn't really answer why. I'm wondering if there are there any evolutionary implications behind the wide degree of variability in this area from one man to the next.
