Why do these bands sound different from when they are interviewed?

Does anyone else notice a lot of the bands that are from other countries, the hives (really noticeable)--european, rolling stones-brit, ac/dc-aussie, they have thick native accents to where ever they are from, but when they sing, they sound like they have an American accent. anyone got any theories
